Lantos Passes Away

Rep. Tom Lantos has succumbed to his battle with cancer early this morning according to a reports on MSNBC. He was the only Holocaust survivor serving in Congress, and will be greatly missed.

San Francisco RSVP Screenings

Following the 30-minute documentary will be a Q & A with the Director and Producers of the film. They will be speaking both about the film and about the topic at large: Fighting for the equity of the Veteranos. Using the film as a catalyst, we hope to speak more about this issue and discuss the best methods spreading awareness of the Veteranos’ struggle.

we just received word the A Moral Debt will be featured in the upcoming Chicago Filipino American Film Festival.  We’re showing next to The Islanders, a documentary about the island fortress of Corregidor.

A Moral Debt in final Post!!!!

An update here from the dark depths of the editing lab. I’m working on the last touches on the final audio mix and we’ll be synching shortly. We sent it out to zinebi this past week and we’re sending it out to Sundance and SF International Asian American this week. If you know of any film festivals you think we should enter, let us know.

Equity Bills in the house and senate

The Veterans Equity Bills in the house and senate have been seeing some action as of late. S. 1315 made it out of committee this week by a vote of 15 / 12 (right along party lines). It is set to be debated sometime in august. More Info.

HR 760 still needs to be approved by the house commitee on veterans affairs.
